Fall Hikes – McGee Creek

This was my first time to McGee Creek and I will definitely be back! The fall colors are SPECTACULAR!

The trail head for the canyon is located approximately eight miles south of Mammoth Lakes on US Hwy. 395, west at the McGee Creek exit. Take the partially paved road until it dead ends at a parking lot (about 2.5 miles).

Many hikers start here and go to Steelhead Lake (about 10 miles round trip) but my friends and I went to the beaver pond about 7.5 miles round trip. The views were great and I took way too many photos to share.
