Snowcreek VIII is the final and largest planned phase of the Snowcreek Resort community, covering approximately 222 acres south of Old Mammoth Road between Fairway Drive and Sherwin Creek Road. The approved master plan allows for up to 790 residential units, a resort hotel with as many as 250 rooms, 150 private residence club units, up to 75,000 square feet of commercial and other non-residential uses, recreational amenities and the potential expansion of the golf course. The first subdivision phase has been approved for 159 condominium units in 41 buildings, along with roads, utilities, drainage, multi-use paths and supporting infrastructure. Additional use permit and design-review approvals are required before residential construction can begin. The project’s vested entitlements extend through 2045, and the existing nine-hole golf course is permanently protected for recreation and open-space use.
